Privacy Policy

This policy describes information handling in this edition. Effective date: September 8, 2026. Contact: pardeep@pannudigital.com.

Information you provide

This edition has no publisher-operated reader account, payment, newsletter, comment or online message-submission form. If you contact us by email or phone, we may receive your name, contact details and message.

Language and location choices

Your selected language and state are kept in the URL. We do not request your precise location or add publisher tracking cookies or browser storage for this choice. Sharing a link also shares its language and location selection.

Hosting and technical data

The hosting provider may process IP addresses, requests and technical logs to deliver and secure the site. The website is public; publisher administration requires a separate secure login. We have not added advertising or analytics trackers to this edition.

Contact messages

Messages are used to respond, investigate the matter raised and maintain necessary records. Contacting us does not subscribe you to marketing. Information may be shared where needed for the requested work, with service providers, or to meet lawful requirements.

Retention and requests

Information should be kept only as long as needed for its stated purpose and applicable record requirements. Email us to ask about your information or request correction or deletion. Identity verification and applicable requirements may need to be assessed before a request is completed.

External links and changes

External sources and email services have their own privacy policies. This policy will be updated when services or collection practices change, with information or consent provided where required. No system can guarantee zero risk or absolute security.

Browser notifications and WordPress administration

Notifications are optional. With permission we store the browser push endpoint, encryption keys, selected language and subscription timestamps. No name, phone or email is requested for notifications. Browser push providers (Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft) deliver encrypted requests containing a news title, summary and link.

Turning notifications off here removes the server subscription and unsubscribes the browser. Revoking browser permission alone may leave a record until an expired-subscription response or cleanup. Records inactive for 180 days are removed at the next subscription cleanup, not on a fixed daily schedule. An opt-out endpoint hash blocks delayed tab refreshes for 180 days or until explicit re-enablement. Backups may retain earlier records.

WordPress login and notification requests use first-party security cookies. Passwords are hashed. Reset links are emailed to the registered account; email and hosting providers may retain technical logs. A secret-key IP hash is held temporarily to limit notification abuse.

Private article-photo uploads are re-encoded to JPEG and metadata is removed. Draft photographs use private storage; ordinary WordPress Media Library uploads can be public. Notifications are not advertising tracking. Analytics or advertising requires separate configuration and any necessary privacy/consent review. Contact contact@pannudigital.com for data requests.

WordPress service emails and Gmail — disclosure updated 9 September 2026

This disclosure concerns Desh Ki Aawaj's WordPress administration; its Gmail connection currently operates in the private preview. The publisher connects its own Google account through FluentSMTP to send account-related service emails and password-reset messages. Readers are not required to connect a Gmail account or sign in with Google.

The connection requests only gmail.send and offline access so the publisher does not need to sign in for each message. This permission does not grant access to read the Gmail inbox, modify or delete existing mail, or read contacts. Outgoing recipient addresses, subject, complete message and attachments, if any, are processed on the WordPress hosting and sent to Google for delivery. Password-reset messages contain a private reset link.

The WordPress database stores the sender's email address, OAuth client ID, client secret, and access and refresh tokens to operate the connection. FluentSMTP's default secret/token encryption is enabled for the current connection. This is reversible encryption using keys available on the hosting, not end-to-end encryption or complete isolation from hosting administrators. Authorized WordPress and hosting administrators can manage the connection.

FluentSMTP message-log entries are disabled for newly generated messages, whether delivery succeeds or fails; this includes logging the message body, subject and recipient. This does not delete historical logs and does not cover resending messages from those logs. Hosting technical logs, backups, and sent or received copies in Google's or recipients' mailboxes are separate and may remain under their applicable retention periods. Connection settings are retained until removed; backups may retain earlier copies.

When the publisher connects its Google account, a temporary authorization code and the return WordPress admin address pass through FluentSMTP's https://fluentsmtp.com/gapi/ endpoint. The WordPress server then exchanges the code directly with Google for tokens. We have not independently verified that vendor endpoint's retention period. FluentSMTP privacy policy: https://fluentsmtp.com/privacy-policy/ .

Desh Ki Aawaj's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data from this connection is not sold or used for advertising targeting or AI model training. Policy: https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy .

The publisher can revoke Google account access at https://myaccount.google.com/connections . To remove the current local connection settings, separately delete that connection in FluentSMTP. Merely deactivating the plugin or revoking Google access does not erase previously delivered email or backups. For questions or deletion requests concerning related data held by the website, contact legal@deshkiaawaj.com; identity confirmation may be needed to protect the account.
